Joy Pullagurla

Joy was born in 2016 in Sydney and began her advance piano studies with Nathan Inkiriwang. Her journey with music is driven by a deep love for the art and a genuine desire to share that love with others. Over the years, she has been fortunate to perform in various countries often finding joy in spontaneous street piano performances that connect her with diverse audiences.

On weekends, Joy regularly performs at Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building, where she delights in engaging passersby with her heartfelt renditions, especially of challenging pieces by Mozart. Her affinity for the warm tones of Steinway pianos further enriches her performances, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who listen.

Sharing her musical journey is as important to Joy as performing itself. Under the handle "pianobyjoy" on Instagram and YouTube, she documents her experiences, hoping to inspire and connect with others who appreciate music. In 2024, she was honored to win the St George Eisteddfod—a milestone that continues to remind her of the power of music to bring people together.
